What is Community Partnerships?
It’s The Get Healthy Challenge, SAFE KIDS New London County, the Faith in Action Network, and Healthy New London.

10,000 Steps A Day
Teams from throughout Southeastern Connecticut have walked the equivalent of 10 times around the earth at the equator to reach their goal of 10,000 steps per day for better health through our Get Healthy Challenge. Over 3000 teachers, students, hospital employees, and other community members have taken the Challenge. Have you? Click here to register for the Get Healthy Challenge.

Keeping Kids Safe
SAFE KIDS New London County strives to prevent injuries to children. Maybe you have visited our free car seat and booster seat inspection stations at L&M Hospital or Mohegan Sun. Perhaps your child has received a free bicycle helmet from our Bicycle Safety Team, or learned about fire safety, how to call 911 or how to tell drugs from candy.

Help From a Trusted Friend
The Faith in Action Network supports individuals from your faith community that volunteer to be a health resource for the congregation. From bringing programs to your place of worship, to listening to health concerns, to making referrals, Faith in Action volunteers are there for you.

Grassroots Health Promotion
Healthy New London works with the community to make our city a healthier place to live, work, and enjoy life. We are partnering with citizens and organizations to reduce teen pregnancy and to ensure that city schools are healthy environments. Have you walked the Healthy New London Health Trail yet?

And There’s More
Community Partnerships is a leader in Eat Smart, Grow Healthy, a program to improve nutrition and physical activity among preschool children and in the regional Healthy Schools Collaborative, bringing together many local school districts to improve children’s health.
